From the A64 Leeds/Scarborough road, heading East towards Scarborough or West towards Leeds:

Leave the A64 at the A1036 Askham Bar junction signposted York (West) or York (SW), and follow signs for Bishopthorpe. Take the right hand lane and continue to follow signs for Bishopthorpe, passing York College on your left. Continue into Bishopthorpe village passing shops on your left, and turn left at the crossroads to travel down Bishopthorpe Main Street. Pass the Ebor Inn on your right and take the first right into Acaster Lane. Continue along this road for about 1.5 miles. Poplar Farm Caravan Park is on your right, immediately before a sharp right turn at the Ship Inn.

From the A1237 Outer Ring Road:

The A1237 joins with the A64 at either end, so stay on the A1237 until it joins the A64, then head towards York and follow the directions above.

From the A19 South (Selby), heading North to York:

On the outskirts of York the A19 crosses the A64. Turn left to join the A64 heading towards Leeds, then follow the directions above for Westbound on the A64.

From the A19 North (Thirsk) heading South to York:

On the outskirts of York the A19 crosses the A1237. Join the A1237 heading towards Leeds, and stay on the A1237 until it joins the A64. Then head towards York on the A64 and follow the A64 directions above.
